Hello, I'm Georgie
I grew up in Shaftesbury, and after six years grooming dogs in Bath it was wonderful to come back to Dorset and start my own business here. Country Cuts opened its doors on Monday 27th November 2023.
I'm fully insured, qualified and canine first aid trained, and alongside full grooms I offer ultrasonic teeth cleaning.
“I adore what I do and welcome all breeds and sizes for grooming.”
Cuba the Collie and I look forward to welcoming you and your dog to Country Cuts.
On the table
I welcome all breeds and sizes for grooming, from a puppy's very first visit to regular grooms every few weeks. Grooms are by appointment, Monday to Thursday.

First grooms for puppies

Ultrasonic teeth cleaning
Using an ultrasonic device rather than just scraping. More about teeth cleaning
“Very pleased with my dogs groom exactly as I wanted it. Would thoroughly recommend Georgie such a lovely young lady. I just can’t stop looking and cuddling my beautiful girl, Mia”
Ultrasonic teeth cleaning
As well as grooming, I offer ultrasonic teeth cleaning. It works with a special ultrasonic device rather than just scraping.
Before and after photos of recent teeth cleans go up on my Facebook and Instagram.
“I highly recommend Georgie as a groomer. She's wonderful with my miniature poodle and, amazingly, he falls at her feet in delight when we visit which I wouldn't expect of a visit to the groomer! She's very good with him, does all the tricky bits with zero distress to him, and gives him a perfect cut in my preferred style. Georgie also cleans his teeth at every visit with some sort of special ultrasonic device (not just scraping) and this has made a huge difference and kept the vet at bay (teeth problems are common in this breed even though I feed all the right things). I highly recommend Georgie as she's good, very professional and my dog loves her!”

“Our toy poodle Edgar had his first groom carried out by Georgie when he was about 15 weeks old and has been groomed by Georgie every four to five weeks since. Georgie has a wonderful way with Edgar as she is not only a dog groomer but also a dog lover. Georgie very much puts Edgar at ease when he gets dropped off for his groom.
His hair cuts are impeccable and people always comment on how handsome he looks after a groom. For us, it’s not only how he looks, but also how he smells, amazing!
Georgie herself is a kind and lovely person and very professional in what she does; we cannot recommend her highly enough.”
“Our mini schnauzer had her first groom with Country Cuts today and we were blown away. Not only did Mabel come out looking like a different dog, Georgie was really kind and friendly. Everything was spotless and the regular dogs were clearly very happy and comfortable there. Mabel's coat isn't the easiest to work with and we've spent a long time looking for somewhere/someone who could work with it, and she's come home looking the smartest she ever has done. We'll definitely be regulars.”
“Georgie was a great groomer for our dog Loki. He was always so happy to see her, even though he wasn’t a fan of being groomed! She was so good with him, always so professional and really made him feel at ease. He always came away looking perfect and smelling amazing! We would highly recommend Georgie to anyone looking for a dog groomer!”
